Day 1: Is an easy day, in the morning you will collect your motorbike and then we will take an easy ride back to Belfast to let you get familiar with it. After checking into your Hotel in the centre of Belfast and parking your motorbike in a secure car park we can offer you a guided tour of the City by open topped double decker bus. Take in some of the sights that has made the City famous across the World over the past forty years. Take in some of the Cities past glories, stand beside the dry dock where the Titanic was built. I know it sank but it was all right when it left here! For those of you that are up to it in the evening we can explore some of Belfast’s pubs.

Day 2: We set off around 10am. After a good Irish Breakfast we will ride down the Ards Peninsula to the picturesque town of Portaferry from where we take the short ferry ride to Strangford. Hugging the coast line we make our way to the Holiday Resort of Newcastle. From here we enter the “Kingdom of Mourne“, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Returning to Belfast via the town of Downpatrick the burial place of St Patrick patron Saint of Ireland. This evening is free to enjoy at your own leisure.

Day 3: Only 100miles today but it’s going to be a busy one. We will leave our Belfast Hotel today and via the Antrim Coast Road which has been described in one travel magazine as one of the World’s top fifty drives, we will make our way to Donegal. On the way you can play Indiana Jones and cross the Carrick –a –rede Rope Bridge on foot, you will need a good head for heights. In the afternoon we can see the World Famous Giant’s Causeway. Legend is that it was built by a Irish Giant called Finn MaCool who wanted to get over to Scotland to fight another giant. Geologists tell us it was formed by molten lava cooling when it reached the sea, but what do they know!! I like the Finn Macool story. If time permits we can visit the world’s oldest whiskey distillery at Bushmills, no sampling unfortunately not for the riders anyway as we still have a way to go to catch our ferry that will make the short 10min crossing to Donegal and our stop for the night.

Day 4: Today’s tour will be approx, 140miles. Crossing the Inishowen Peninsula we will reach Malin Head the most northerly point in Ireland. If it’s windy, don’t open your jacket or you could end up hang gliding over to Scotland or even Norway. Weather permitting we will make our way to Buncrana via the Mamore Gap where we will catch the ferry to Rathmullen, crossing time 30mins. After lunch we will tour the Fanad Peninsula making our way to the Gweedore Area and our Hotel for the next two nights.

Day 5: Again our tour today will be approx. 140miles. We shall ride the Atlantic Drive stopping at Bloody Foreland for lots of photos. Turning south we will visit the Glenveagh National Park before moving on to Killybegs, Ireland’s capital fishing port. In the afternoon weather permitting for those of you with a head for heights we will take the narrow winding road to the top of Slieve League, the highest sea cliffs in Europe. Returning to our Hotel by 5pm via the Glengesh Pass in time for a quick nap or stiff drink. Mines a pint if you’re asking!!

Day 6: Our last day together and we have 200miles to ride before dropping off the motorbikes and then checking into our hotel in Belfast. Riding first south and then east, we will stop in Donegal town maybe for an early lunch and a short visit before we cross the Barnsmore Gap and onto Strabane where we will cross back into Northern Ireland, (passports not required), and ride home across the Sperrin Mountains.

It’s our last night together and hopefully if we have done our job you will have had a great trip and made lots of new friends. Time for all those hugs and kisses or just a firm handshake and a parting drink or two.
