Irish Motorcycle Adventures Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective 1st January 2009

To secure your motorcycle rental booking we ask for a deposit of 25% at time of booking and the balance 4 weeks before you arrive.  This means your rental is prepaid.

Cancellation of Motorcycle Rental
If you need to cancel your booking we will refund you in the following way.

More than 28 days prior to arrival we will refund 90% of any money paid, within 7 days.

15-28 days prior to arrival we will refund 50% of any money paid, within 7 days.

8-14 days prior to arrival we will refund 25% of any money paid, within 7 days.

Up to 7 days prior to arrival we will not offer a refund as it is unlikely we will be able to rent the motorcycle to someone else at such short notice.

On the day of your arrival if we cannot process the rental because you do not have a valid motorcycle driving license and passport, we cannot offer a refund as it is unlikely we will be able to rent the motorcycle to someone else at such short notice.  However, because you have prepaid, the motorcycle will remain reserved for you and should you be able to return with the correct documents we will be happy to process the rental.  Details of the documents you need can be found on the FAQ page of this web site.

If, for any reason, we cancel your rental prior to or on the day of your arrival we will refund you 100% of any money paid, within 7 days.

Refunds for Motorcycle Rental
In the unlikely event of us being unable to supply the specific type of bike you have booked, or if it does not operate correctly, we will endeavour to substitute it with another motorcycle which is acceptable to you.  If we cannot do this and you decide to terminate your rental for this reason, we will refund 100% of any money paid, within 7 days.

Returning the Motorcycle Early
If, for any reason, you return the motorcycle before the end of the prepaid rental period, we cannot offer a refund for the unused days as it is unlikely we will be able to rent the motorcycle to someone else at such short notice.

Amending a Motorcycle Rental Booking
Bookings can be amended at any time by contacting us.  We can change your dates only if we have a motorcycle available for the new dates.  If you wish to shorten your rental period we will refund you the balance in line with the cancellation policy above.

Guided & Self Guided Tours
A 25% non refundable deposit is required to secure your booking.

The balance is due 5 weeks prior to the start of the tour and is also non refundable.

As you can see the policy on tours is much stricter than that for motorcycle rental. This is because we must prepay for hotels and tour guides, and it is unlikely the place will be filled by someone else as most people make their tour plans many months in advance. For this reason we urge you to take out adequate holiday insurance before booking your tour. Then if something unexpected happens you will be able to recover any money paid from your insurance company.

If for any reason we are forced to cancel a tour or your place on a tour we will offer you a full refund or an alternative tour.
